When Pain leaves, he jumps over the ridge he was still inside, and heads towards the crater he was clearly not inside, denotes by the thick smoke covering everything that you can’t see through. If the ball exploded right there, why would the rock be intact, and why would the smoke be elsewhere? We also see that the original wall that Pain was up against is still intact, as well as the rock Pain threw at Naruto with Bansho Ten’in in the first place. When we’re shown Pain again, despite the fact that crater is still a smouldering smoky pit, neither he nor Naruto are covered by smoke. When Pain defends himself with Bansho Ten’in we’re shown rather clearly that the ball is moved off of its intended course.Īdditionally it’s painfully obvious that the epicenter of the explosions is very far away from being inside the ridge/inner crater, again marked with the yellow highlighter. He’s below the ridge marked with the yellow highlighter and inside the “inner” crater. This is where pain landed when his Shinra Tensei was repelled. Naruto and Pain were not anywhere near the outer limits of the crater, which is where the Tailed Beast Ball exploded. Slightly tearing his cloak is not proof of getting hit by a nuclear explosion. Pain pulled the rock from the wall with Bansho Ten’in to divert Kyuubi Naruto’s aim and launch it away. You’re misunderstanding what happened here rather badly. I just can’t see them winning this realistically. ![]() Even if they get to Gilgamesh, they’d have to deal with things like his armor to actually hurt him, since he’s not likely to treat Pain like he did Shirou. ![]() They absolutely cannot match his range, and if he just decides to sit on his ship in the sky, they have literally no answer.Įven if Chibaku Tensei were to come into play, Gilgamesh has the power to destroy it with Ea at the absolute minimum, and doing so would exhaust Pain and render him barely able to fight, and possibly only by abandoning Paths other than Tendo. The only defense the Pain’s really have is Tendo’s Shinra Tensei, but with a cool down of 5 full seconds, there’s nothing they can actually do to defend themselves for more than an instant. With only 6 abilities to speak of, Gil has answers to all of them in his vault, but most likely he won’t need much more than overwhelming, relentless firepower. Even so, while Gil may reject possibilities that could lead to his defeat as nonsense, it seems unlikely he would be unaware of 6 paths themselves or the nature of Pain’s abilities. ![]() He’s capable of way more than 6 attack vectors at any given time, and his general Clairvoyance would make outmaneuvering him or sneaking up on him (the latter particularly) difficult, though Archer Gil seems to repress this to the extent where it still happens from time to time. Gilgamesh would take this rather one-sidedly I would think.
